Always introduce the two topics, showing the similarities in the Introduction, and then state the thesis at the end of the Introduction. State thesis clearly at the end of the Introduction – main idea followed by at least, three clear points of difference between the two subjects.
Use strong topic sentences in body paragraphs that includes a point of contrast. Provide interesting details, specific examples, and explanations in the body paragraphs to support each point and convince the readers.
Also, make sure you use varying transition words in body paragraphs when you move from one subject to the other.

Purpose: To show the similarities and differences between the two beach vacation places so readers can make an informed choice.
Introduction: show the similarities between the two places: both on the East Coast – both in South Carolina and both are beach vacation places – similar weather too. Follow with thesis – main idea + 3 points of difference.
Body: Point 1: Difference – Nightlife and Entertainment – include cost.
Point 2: Difference – Dining and Lodging – include cost.
Point 3: Difference – Places of Interest – include cost.
Conclusion: Let the readers know which one you would prefer and why.
In your body paragraphs, do not just include a mechanical list of how Hilton Head differs from Myrtle Beach, but also include analysis too.
