|Forum 5 (Module 5)||
This module/week, you have been working on your second integrated lesson plan. This forum will allow to share your questions, concerns, and request feedback from your peers.
Thread: As well as remembering to implement the Understanding by Design backward planning approach as you design your lesson, Review developmental milestones of the age children for whom you are designing this lesson plan. You can access a list of basic milestones for young children to age 8 here: http://pedscases.com/sites/default/files/SNAPSHOTS_Developmental_Milestones_Chart_UPDATED_Aug_2014.pdf I also suggest reviewing the NAEYC Developmentally Appropriate Practice handbook for further description of appropriate practice. You can find this information online as well at: NAEYC DAP. Please review the comments and suggestions provided on your previously submitted lesson plan and incorporate those revisions within this assignment. Please remember to carefully explain your connection to biblical support for your lesson in the Character Education section as well as providing the verse/s.
For this discussion you will compose 2 paragraphs. The first paragraph should explain the overall direction of your lesson plan. State your standards, objectives, and basic lesson plan ideas. The second paragraph should delineate any concerns, questions, or areas in which you would like support from your instructor and/or classmates. Include your basic lesson plan theme in the title of your thread. For example, ‘Growing Things.’
Replies: Reply to at least 2 colleagues’ threads and take the time to specifically react to their writing. Your replies should each be at least 1 paragraph in length.
Review the grading rubric for discussions available here: EDUC 670_Discussion Boards 1-7_Rubric _002_.docx Your thread is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of Module/Week 5 and your 2 replies are due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the same module/week.
