Question Description
Research organization software can add efficiency to your activities, both in and out of the academic world. Today there are many software products that will help you keep track of your research articles in a searchable database that allows you to see the full text of each article and the particular passages that you highlight as relevant to your work. Cloud computing has made this even more effective, allowing you to access your research materials wherever you are.
For this assignment, we’re going to work on a document together, as a whole class. Search the web for a type of research organization software and post it, along with your name, to the Research Organization Software page (e.g., Research Pro – John Doe). To do this, you will
- click the Edit button,
- type your information in the content box, and
- once you are finished with your entry click the Save button.
Once a particular software has been “claimed,” no one else may use it for this assignment. (Hint, if you’re interested a particular software, make sure to claim it early.)
Research your software; download it and try it. Then post a review of approximately 250 words under your earlier entry using the same steps (1-3 above). Include the pros and cons of this particular software. Would you recommend it to your classmates?
Once this assignment is completed, you will have a list of software that will help you organize your research for this class and the rest of your MPH program.
